One of the Andronicans' customs is to select an off-worlder to be their king, and then to sacrifice him. Andronicans have technology superior to Humans, and have the ability to copy a being's essence and make a lifelike android duplicate. Andronicans ruled over several subject planets. It is possible that the space pirate Smeek from Treasure of the Lost Planet is an Andronican.
