The Swiss Family Robinson was a television series produced in the United States that aired during the 1975-76 season. It was based upon the novel "The Swiss Family Robinson" written by Johann David Wyss, and was produced by Irwin Allen, who had earlier produced a futuristic adaptation of the same novel called "Lost in Space".
The series was directed by Leslie H. Martinson, with second unit director Stan Jolley. Story editing was by William Welch, cinematography by Fred Jackman Jr., original music by Richard LaSalle.
The series starred Martin Milner (formerly of Adam-12) as shipwrecked Carl Robinson. Helen Hunt co-stars as one of his daughters, making one of her first acting performances.
