Tonga was a male chimpanzee that portrayed Debbie the bloop on Lost in Space.
During the second season, Tonga kept biting the production crew. The trainer then had Tonga's teeth removed and replaced with dentures. Nevertheless, the character of Debbie was discarded. Tonga was then castrated to calm him down and went on to star in Lancelot Link: Secret Chimp. [1] [2]
